I create surface pattern designs using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, producing seamless tiles typically sized 12 × 12 or 24 × 24 inches. Inspired by nature and my surrounding environment, my work blends hand-painted watercolours with digital techniques to achieve a simple, harmonious colour palette. In addition to pattern design, I am a published children’s book illustrator and enjoy creating mixed-media paintings on canvas. These different practices enrich one another and reflect my love for storytelling, texture, and organic forms. In 2024 I completed Bonnie Christine’s “Immersion” program, which gave me the confidence to explore new ways of bringing my art into the world. When designing patterns, I envision them on decorative surfaces such as fabrics for pillowcases or papers for wallpaper and gift wrap. I favour small, thoughtfully curated collections that highlight the beauty of each design.
